In particular, we wish to thank Western Illinois University Director of Bands Mike Fansler, Macomb Schools Superintendent Dr. Alene Reuschel, Macomb Schools Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Maria Dunstan—all of whom marched with the Macomb Marching Bomber Band. We also wish to thank McDonough County Sheriff Rick VanBrooker, Macomb councilman and Illinois State Police officer Mike Inman, and Illinois state representative Rich Myers, all of whom graciously donated but could not attend the event.

To date, the band has collected approximately $5,700 in donations and pledges for the event. The pledges and donations collected will help to maintain and build a strong and successful school band program in our community.

Those associated with the Macomb school bands would also like to thank those who donated to the Bryan Hess–Sarah Wells kidney tranplant fund (created by the Macomb Hy-Vee), at both the March-a-thon and the August 29 Macomb High School football game.

We have posted photos of the 2008 March-a-thon in the multimedia gallery.
