Band Graduation Update

Parents

Per Mr. Wetmore…

Band performance at graduation is mandatory. It is worth 200 points.

Report time at Western Hall: 6:30 pm (concludes about 8:45-9:00 pm)

    Dress:
  • Women – Nice Dress or slacks (bring a sweater)
  • Men – Shirt, tie, nice slacks, dark shoes, nice shoes

Bring: Instrument, folding music stand and any other equipment you will need. Remember – you play it, you carry it! You are responsible for getting your equipment to and from Western Hall. All percussionists are responsible for helping pack the equipment coming and going!

    Music:
  • Processional – Pomp and Circumstance
  • Recessional – Sine Nomine

Band Updates

May 15, 2011

Tues. May 17th at 7:00 pm is the final Band Booster meeting for the 2010-2011 school year. It will also serve as our annual meeting. Jeff DeJoode will be present to review our tax exempt and NFP status. Election of officers for the 2011-2012 school year will also occur.

The proposed slate of officers is as follows:

Agenda, minutes and treasurer's reports (monthly report and fundraising summary) are attached for your review.

Don't forget – HyVee Shop N Share is Fri. 5/20 & Sat. 5/21. You must used the attached Shop N Share Coupon to participate. Proceeds ($1,000 max.) will go to the instrument fund. Shop often and share with your friends!

Grand Band $weep$takes Winner

May 1, 2011

Peppi Kenny is the winner of the Grand Band $weep$take$ and generously donated her $1,000 prize back to the band program for instruments. Thank you for this generous gift!

Thanks also to all the band parents and supporters of the raffle. We have done very well and will be able to purchase several new instruments for the program.

Don't forget the HyVee Shop 'N Share on May 20-21. Take your coupon (attached) to HyVee on those dates and 5% of the receipt totals (up to $1,000) will be donated back to the band's instrument fund.
