It's not too late to get your reservations in for the Operation Band Aid Gala—Sat. Aug. 14 (just 2 weeks away) at the WIU Grand Ballroom (reservation form attached). It will be a very fun evening! Doors open at 6:00 pm, dinner at 7:00 pm. Lots of great entertainment all evening long. You won't want to miss it! Tell your friends, family and more. Reservation forms are also available on the band web site, MidAmerica National Bank, Citizens/Morton Community Bank, and Pumo Insurance.
I have also attached a flyer about the "Gala" for you to post at your office etc.
There has been some confusion about what the current band members will be doing that evening. The Gala will feature the band playing our favorite MHS tunes early in the evening, but band members will not be attending the gala. Details for their activities are still being finalized, but the current plan is to have the students meet at the University Baptist Church on Sherman Ave) at 6:00 for a pizza dinner. They will walk to the union and perform, return to the church for snacks and a movie and may stay there until the gala is over.
Just a reminder—The deadline to submit items for the silent auction is Sun. 8/1. If you have anything you would like to contribute, contact Donella Anderson via e-mail with your information.

Operation Band Aid Gala
The "Gala" is approaching quickly! (Sat. August 14th). A reservation form is attached in case you have not received one via US mail or have accidentally misplaced it. It will be a very fun evening! Seating is limited, so get your reservation in. Doors open at 6:00 pm, dinner at 7:00 pm Lots of great entertainment all evening long. You won't want to miss it! Tell your friends, family and more. Gala Auction Items
We are looking for more silent auction items. If you are interested in organizing or helping with a gift basket related to a previous marching band show, contact Kathleen O'Donnell-Brown via e-mail. If you are interested in providing an auction item (i.e., a special homemade dinner, unique talent to share, tickets to sporting, music or theatre events etc.) contact Donella Anderson via e-mail (gumby@macomb.com). The deadline to submit auction items is August 1, 2010.
Let all work to make this event a huge success. We need those new uniforms!
