The MHS Student Account Balances web page now includes Truffles Sale proceeds and all payments received in the MHS band room by 3:30 pm on Monday, January 25, 2010.

Spring Band Trip Payment Reminder

January 22, 2010

Just a friendly reminder that Payment #1 for the spring band trip is due Monday, Jan 25. Please make checks payable to Macomb Band Boosters.

Additional deadlines are as follows:

  • Payment 2 ($75.00) Feb. 22
  • Payment 3 ($30.00) March 22

Please check the band website (Web Alerts section) for the amount your student owes. If you have questions about the amount shown, please contact Sean O'Donnell-Brown via e-mail.

MHS Band Truffles

January 20, 2010

1) Just a friendly reminder – MHS Band members are selling Truffle s by Becca to raise additional funds for their spring band trip. The sale runs until from Mon. 1/25. Money and order forms due Monday. Delivery will begin Mon. 2/8 (in time for Valentine's Day!). Boxes are a 12 piece assortment for only $8.00. Students will receive $4.00/box for their trip costs. Please contact a MHS band member to purchase your truffles today. Checks should be made out to Macomb Band Boosters.

2) Volunteers are needed to help box truffles. Sat. 1/23 8:00 am to Noon (or as long as you can) at the University Baptist Church 315 N. Sherman Ave

MHS Band Fundraising

January 14, 2010

The Ways and Means committee for the Macomb Band Boosters will be meeting at the Old Dairy on Tuesday, January 19, at 6:00 pm. Please join us if you are interested in brainstorming some fundraising ideas.

Subject: Western Illinois University Brassfest 2010

Dear Music Educator and Student Participant:

The Western Illinois University School of Music will present Brassfest 2010 and feature our guests the Boston Brass on Sunday, January 24 (2-9 pm) in the COFAC Recital Hall. A new component of this year's presentation is an opportunity for pre-formed chamber ensembles and soloists to work with members of Western's brass faculty.
