Letter About Chili Supper (sent home)

Dear Band Parents,

Monday, October 18, 2010 is the annual Macomb Band Booster’s Chili Supper and Fall Band Concert. In an evening of music, beginning with the 6th grade band and ending with the MHS Marching Bomber Band, parents and the Macomb community are invited to come and dine on a chili supper and enjoy the sounds of our band students. The chili supper concert, a long tradition in Macomb, is the only Junior High Band Fundraiser for the year. It is a great way for band parents and the community to support our award-winning bands and raise much needed funds.

Cost of a Tickets (includes chili, sandwich. drink, and dessert):

  • Adults – $7.00
  • Children (12 years and under) – $3.50

Enclosed you will find a ticket order form. Please indicate the number of tickets you wish to purchase and return the total amount with a check to Mr. Wetmore or Mr. Mattsey by Friday, October 8. Tickets will be held at the door and can be picked up the night of the event. Tickets can also be purchased at the door that evening.

Estimated concert schedule is as follows:

  • 6th Grade Band – 5:20-5:35 pm
  • Mustang Jazz Band – 5:40-5:55 pm
  • 7th Grade Band – 6:00-6:20 pm
  • 8th Grade Band – 6:30-6:50 pm
  • High School Band – 7:00 pm

Jr High Parent volunteers are needed before, during, and after the concerts. There are lots of easy ways that you can help. Please fill out the enclosed volunteer sheet and return also by Friday, October 8 to Mr. Wetmore and Mr. Mattsey.
