The band is looking for 10 volunteers who are willing to supply two dozen muffins each as breakfast for the kids on the bus en route to U of I next Saturday (October 13.) Due to known allergies among band members, the muffins should not contain nuts of any kind. Please bring the muffins, individually bagged, to the water table at the game on Friday (Oct 12)—or if you're not going to the game, send them with your band member to the band room prior to the game. We also need donations of individually bottled orange and apple juice, which may also be delivered to the water table or the band room on Friday.
Please let Kelly Barsi know by Thursday, October 11, if you are able to donate muffins or juice, so we can be sure to have plenty of everything!
Thank you so much for your help!

Please note that there will be police at the intersection of Kirby Avenue and First Street and at the intersection of Kirby Avenue and Fourth Street. It would be much safer if you will encourage your students to cross streets only where police are patrolling.
One more thing: There is a fairly steep incline going into the stadium through the south end zone. Because of that we are suggesting that you allow your band more time to get into the stadium and perhaps as many as 5 more people to move equipment into and out of the stadium. This is to protect the safety of your people and for your equipment.
Good luck to everyone on Saturday!
