Each year, around the end of May, Mr. Wetmore will send the letters out for the marching band season. In this packet, there will also be the order form for the band t shirts. He will have a date on the order form that the t shirt orders will be due.
Ask Mr. Wetmore for a band roster for the upcoming year. Make sure that this also includes the flag girls.
I created a spreadsheet to include all the students. As they ordered t-shirts, I marked the spreadsheet as to the size, check number, name of parents, address, etc.
After the due date has past for the t-shirt orders to be turned in, call or email the parents that haven't ordered the shirts yet and remind them that the orders were due. A lot of people get confused as to whether they need a new shirt if they already have one.
Contact Mark Danner at mark@printexinc.com, 800-874-4789 ext. 303. This is the printer that Mark Bloom used. If you choose another printer, you will need to supply the logo that is in the brown envelope inside the t-shirt box.
Find out what the price per shirt will be and what the deadline will be to have the shirts delivered by the uniform distribution date. Make sure you allow time for margin of error in printing time. It's much easier to hand out the shirts on distribution day than during a practice.
Order extra shirts for parents, fans, and kids that might want them. There always seems to be one size that I don't order enough of, which is usually medium or large. I usually don't keep a lot of the 2x and 3x sizes because we haven't needed a lot of them unless pre-ordered.
